Discussing effects - 2 -revised

     I’ve lived in a small town called Acton.  It has a population of 2,500.  It is safe, quiet, and clean place to live.  Most of the people have lived here all their lives and know each other very well.  And it has not changed very much in the past 100 years.  Recently, it was last month that Stanley Manufacturing decided to open a large factory in our town.  We were worry about that this decision will bring some bad influence.  First of all, the large town will bring many new people to the community makes population explosion.  This quiet and clean place may become noisy and untidy one.  Second, the pollution from the consequence of building a new factory may harm the environment, including air pollution, water pollution and noise pollution.  The air here may be polluted by some chemicals and the air may harm our health.  The water may be polluted by waste water.  And people drink the water with bad materials.  The noise from the machines which are operating may ruin the environmental tranquility.  Last, benefit-based relationships may become sharp.  The people living here will not help each other without benefits.  The peace of the town will disappear.  Therefore, we don’t agree with this idea.  We will protest against the decision to protect our town.
